Power plant 300 MW
Shahjibazar Project Abstract
The government has launched a project to construct a 300 Mega Watt (MW) power plant at Shahjibazar in Habiganj district to boost country’s power generation. The main activities of the project are to procure 2X100 MW Gas Turbine Generating Unit, 100 MW Steam Generating Turbine Unit and Condenser, heat recovery Steam Generator, central control unit equipment, cooling systems and fuel supply systems. Power Development Board is entrusted to implement the project by December, 2015. GE Energy was awarded a contract to supply two 9E gas turbines.
