Rybinsk Project Abstract
In 2012, a contract was signed between JSC “Russian Gas Turbines” (joint venture of General Electric, Inter RAO UES and United Engine Corporation) and CJSC “SWECO Soyuz Engineering” for the designing and construction of a new plant for assembly & testing GE 77 MW low emission 6FA industrial gas turbines.
Located near Rybinsk city (Yaroslavl region) the plant, which is due to open in mid 2014, is expected to help address the country's growing need for high-performance, mid-sized power blocks in cogeneration and combined heat, and power applications.
