Opatovice Project Abstract
Doosan Škoda Power has won a contract to upgrade the TG5 heating plant at the Opatovice Power Station, which supplies heat to several thousand households in the north-east region of the Czech Republic. Doosan Škoda Power will supply a modernized 65MW back-pressure steam turbine including all accessories such as control systems, basic heating water heaters, low-pressure regenerative system, feed water heating system, oil system, interconnecting piping, high-pressure hydraulic system, field instrumentation, etc. EOP is a combined heat and power station serving more than 62,000 users in the north-east region of the Czech Republic. The modernization of the plant will take place during the planned shutdown in 2020 and the plant will be put into permanent operation before the start of the heating season in autumn 2020.
